I love spam.
I wake up every morning and check my email on my phone as I eat breakfast. Sure enough, I have five e-mails from WordPress telling me about new comments. And without fail, they are all spammers trying to get one lousy backlink from my site (especially since I have spent the last month away from this blog).
It may be the most entertaining part about reading my email each day.
The grammar is atrocious. The spelling horrific. And the comments are completely unrelated to the original post.
I have to ask myself, does this work?
How many self respecting blogs let things like this get through?
So if you are reading this spammers, feel free to send in your hilarious comments. In fact I encourage it.
You can brighten up my morning as I laugh at your expense…
And then put your comments in my spam folder where they belong.

You get some classics don’t you. I like the ones where they flatter you…great post, I have never read an author that sums this up so well etc. And then the slight modification on this to make it seem more real….awesome post but you should really use spell check as your spelling is terrible. These are the ones that make it through akismet….take a walk on the wild side and check out the ones that fail aksimet…it’s kind of amazing what some people are trying to sell at times…

Hi Kevin,
These spams are irritating & sometimes they flood my inbox.
On most occasion I don’t really read them & automatically make them as spam.
That’s too funny, Kevin!
I have noticed the same thing and mentioned it in the MWA forum.
Some of the spam comments are so ridiculous I want to actually reply to them! My question is this: are these spam comments meant to raise a sites ranking, or intentionally push it down?
hmmmm.
